American Samoa - Day 7

American Samoa - Day 7

Another year has come and passed. It have had a great trip, and dreading leaving and the long trip home.

Today was the last day of camp, and it was great. We had a lot of fun today. All of the kids had a great time. My prayer is that we helped to make an impact on the kids here. I will continue to think about this week and it has made an impact on me again.

Continue to pray for our team as we travel to our various homes. Once again thanks for all the continued prayers, and God Bless.

Signing off on another successful Mission trip to American Samoa.

American Samoa - Day 6

American Samoa - Day 6

Another sunset, and another awesome day in American Samoa.

Football camp was another great day. It was exciting, and fun to be at. Tomorrow is our last day. I am both excited, and upset. I think tomorrow is going to be a great day, but it is also our last day. It has been a great week and another great experience.

The huddle group went awesome today. We had a great experience. Today we went over the plan of salvation, and had a great deal of commitments today. It was a very uplifting thing for me personally. The great thing that happens now is that when we leave, it doesn't just stop at this. Brian and Brandon are here, and will be able to have follow up time with all the students who made a decision today. God is good. I will try to have you guys a final post up tomorrow, but I don't know how my time will be with getting ready to go and everything.

Thanks again for all the continued prayers and God bless.

American Samoa - Day 5

American Samoa - Day 5

Another day of camp equals another great day. Today went well. Another great turnout with a bunch of eager high school kids. Each day progresses, and continues to get better and better.

My huddle group also went well today. I am loving the kids, and am getting to know them better. I have two kids in my huddle that I had last year, and it has been good to see them again. It is also good, because they are pretty talkative because they are somewhat comfortable enough to talk around me. Today we talked about sin, and how that is the gap between us and God, but how Jesus filled the gap between us and God. It was a good time.

Last night was a great night. A group of guys from Temple Baptist Church in White House, TN are doing a middle school VBS on Happy Valley's campus. I didn't personally help with the VBS, but did take pictures. It was a good time, because the kids are great to be around.

Thanks for the continued prayers, and God Bless.

American Samoa - Day 4

American Samoa - Day 4

Today has been a great day! We had a good number of kids at camp today. Things went well. I felt like all of the coaches and players had a great time. Today was the start for the rest of the week. If each today continues to get better and better I can't wait to see what the rest of the week will be like.

Our huddle group was great today. It was raining throughout our entire time, but I felt that it just added to the experience. Today we talked about having a vertical relationship with God. How God created us in his own image, and how he wants us to have a relationship with him. The kids were very interactive and responsive today. I can't wait for these times the rest of the week.

Shout out to the people at home miss you guys, but things are well here.

Thanks for the continued prayers and support. God bless.

American Samoa - Day 3

American Samoa - Day 3

It has been a great Sunday. Got up and went to church at nine. Brian had a great service sermon. It hit home with me, and a lot of guys on the trip. Today is one of the top highlights of my trip. I always enjoy hearing Brian preach, and he does such a great job.

We truly rested on the Sabbath today. Other than church and lunch, we have been resting. Making sure we have our legs under us for the rest of the week.

Happy Father's day to all of the dad's today!!! I truly appreciate all the dads in my life. Even though I am currently in the South Pacific, I have a ton of dads with me on the trip.

On a personal note, I want to give a shout out to my dad. Thanks for being the dad you are, you've been, and the dad you will be in my future. I can truly say that I would not be where I am as a person, if you hadn't raised me the way you have.

To all you out there make sure to let your dad know you appreciate them today. Not only today, but each and everyday. Just take time to let them know you appreciate them, and what they do in your life.

Thanks for all the continued prayers, and God Bless.

American Samoa - Day2

American Samoa - Day 2

Today was another great day in Samoa. Camp started today. We didn't have 500 students, but the experience was phenomenal. The kids, coaches, and families were great. I just hope and pray that the rest of the week is as great as today.

Had my first day with our huddle group, and it was good to get in that setting again. I know the task at hand, and pray that God will give me the correct words to say.

Tonight has been another great experience getting to know the people on the trip. It has been fun, and love every minute of it.

I know I don't have a lot to say tonight, but it has been a long day and need to get to bed.

Goodnight, and thanks for the continued prayers.

God Bless!

American Samoa - Day 1

American Samoa - Day 1

It has been a great day so far. We are getting ready for the start of our camp tomorrow. Right now we are expecting 500 or more kids for camp.

Our full team of around 30 met completely for the first time today. People from multiple states all under the same roof with the same purpose and goal. This is a great thing to be a part of.

Tomorrow should be a great day. I can't wait to see what it holds.

Tonight we are going to a local church that has a basketball ministry, to spend time with some of the kids on the island. O'yeah, and they are feeding us dinner tonight. Can't wait, love the food on the island.

That's all for now, just a quick update. Thanks for all of your prayers.

God Bless
